Your license WITHOUT EXAM
It allows the government of nautical motorcycles without power limit and pleasure boats up to 6 meters in length and an adequate engine power to them according to their manufacturer, it will enable you to perform daytime navigations as long as they do not go more than 2 nautical miles in any direction from a port, marina or place of shelter.
It consists of a theoretical and practical course that is taught in about 4 hours, aboard one of our boats while sailing along the coast of Gijón.
Description
- Theory will be taught while we sail and practice. Likewise, knowledge will be taught about limitations to navigation on unbeaconed and beaconed beaches and their access channels. Regulations regarding maritime traffic and inland navigation in ports. Lateral marks of the A-region. How to steer the boat to avoid rolling and pitching and the importance of not going into the sea. Rules 4 to 8, 11 to 19 and 37 (including annex IV) of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions.
- Basic notions for the use of a portable VHF radio station will be taught. Limited to the knowledge of channel 16, its use in case of emergency and basic routine communications, as well as how to contact Maritime Rescue (channel 16 and telephones 112 and 900 202 202).
-Knowledge and handling of the safety material, revision of the critical points of the boat and verifications previous to the exit to the sea will be given.
- We will identify the elements of the propulsion system. Starting the engine and operation checks.
- Handling of ropes and basic knots.
- We will make maneuvers in the dock, berthing and unberthing. Safety speed.
- Anchoring maneuvers and anchor tacking. Precautions with bathers and divers.
- Safety maneuvers.
Don't forget:
Bring comfortable clothes and if you are prone to seasickness take a biodramine pill 1 hour before.
